On November 30 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology held a conference on evaluation of the activities of science and technology organizations affiliated to VUSTA for the 2015-2018 period and the 2018 Networking event for Cooperation and Development.

On November 21, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) in collaboration with Center for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) organized a workshop on "Sharing experience on successful models for adaptation to climate change with support of CSOs" chaired by Dr. Le Cong Luong - Deputy Secretary General cum Chief of office, VUSTA.

Founded in 1966, the Vietnam Historical Science Association has 59 member associations and branches (33 provincial associations, 4 professional associations and 22 branches of the national research and training centers of history), with more than 5,200 individual members. The Association gathers historians of the country, closely links with research and training institutions of history, implements scientific research through scientific seminars, historical forums to orient and promote the development of Vietnamese history.

Helping farmers adapt to climate change

Since it was founded (3/2006) so far, through the projects, the Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) has organized numerous activities to support poor people to help them adapt to the changing environmental conditions and sustainable livelihood management, especially adapt to climate change.

The 1st World Conference on Science Literacy 2018 was inaugurated on 17 September 2018, hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) with the collaborative support of the International Science Council (ISC), UNESCO, World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Water is one of our most precious natural resources, it is essential for life and survival on the Earth. Water, however, is also a cause of human health problems when it is contaminated, or because of natural hazards resulting from water such as storms, floods, and so on. Water is a renewable natural source thanks to its circulation. Unfortunately, water is not an endless source to meet human needs anytime, and anywhere. Therefore, water has been being the cause of disagreements which is increasingly fierce, and can lead to conflicts or war.
