Principles and purposes:

It is a voluntary socio-professional organization of Vietnamese citizens and organizations operating in foundry and metallurgy. It is voluntarily a member of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations. The Association’s purpose is to gather, unite and help each other raise the levels of scientific, technical and professional expertise, dissemination of knowledge, consultancy, judgment and social expertise to develop the foundry and metallurgy to serve the country’s industrialization - modernization.               

Functions and tasks:

1. To gather and unite the scientific and technical activists in the foundry industry - metallurgy.

2. To help, support and improve professional qualifications, to encourage creative activities, and to encourage the application and to bring the scientific and technological advances - foundry and metallurgy – into production and life.

3. To carry out propagation and dissemination of knowledge about foundry and metallurgy.

4. To do consultancy, judgment and social expertise on science - technology and socio-economics of the foundry – metallurgy industry, to propose scientific - technical and socio-economic -measures for the foundry - metallurgy development.

5. To conduct economic and technical activities as prescribed by the current laws.

6. To have international cooperation on foundry - metallurgy with the overseas specialized associations and international organizations in accordance with the laws.
