Event though still young, pharmacist Tran Thanh Phong has nearly 15-year experience in researching and preparing drugs at the development research center under the Domesco Medical Import Export Joint Stock Corporation (Dong Thap). He was honored to be the contest winner at the Dong Thap Creativity Contest in Science and Technology in many successive years. He was born in 1973 into a family of five brothers in Tan Thuan Tay, Cao Lanh city. During his high school years, Tran Thanh Phong was especially interested in chemistry, but he was expected to pursuit medical profession by his parents. However, with his passion for chemistry, he successfully convinced her parents to enroll in the department of pharmacology at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
