Normally a worker uses a glue roller for providing glue to 3 or 5 layered cardboards by hand, after that 2 other workers place the first sketch on the cardboard and smooth it for the sketch to stick evenly on the cardboard. Due to handicraft practice, the glue being not evenly provided, conducive to over consumption of glue with many gas foams, to low productivity (only 72 sheets, format 0,5 x 1,4 m/hour).

For overcoming the above disadvantage, the mechanical shop of the cardboard making plant (AnGiang province plant protection company) had successfully researched for production of the paper pasting machine, with only 1 operator.

The glue providing roller group is independent from the sketch carrying roller. The sketch carrying roller group uses vacuum for keeping sketch paper in the exact position. The glue providing roller ensures the even provision of glue on the cardboard face. Using two inductors for discovering cardboards and paper after pasting.

The operator places cardboards (about 10 sheets) on the table 1 and sketch paper (about 20 sheets) on table 2. The paper is positioned by various tenons. When the starting botton is pressed, the vacuum roller group shall keep/retain 1 sketch paper. The cardboard paper shall be introduced into the glue providing roller group, the glue shall be evenly sprayed on the paper surface without deviation. The vacuum roller group shall play the role of pressing so that the quality of pasted paper is fairly polished, without foam. After that, stop the roller group and open the vacuum for retaining the following sketch paper and continuing the second cycle.

Engineer Tran Quoc Thanh, deputy manager of mechanical shop said: This paper pasting machine is very adequate to the type of 3 – 5 layered cardboard with 0,3m to 1m width, the productivity being 300 sheets/hour (paper format 0,5 x 1,4m). The machine functions easily, the paper quality is good and stable. Most important, when the machine is operated, there is not much noise, not influencing the environment.

With the a.m. salient features, in early December 2006, at the Technical Competition Festival of An Giang province, the paper pasting machine had won the second prize (without first prize).
